This is a brief summary breakdown and explanation of some commonly used Egyptian dance movements. Terminology varies from country to country and is not written in stone.
No amount of written explanation can replace hands on tuition, and it is strongly advised that students of the dance seek out a good teacher in their area and attend regular classes. Whilst terminology may differ from teacher to teacher, any instructor worth her salt will be familiar with these dance moves. Do not be afraid to ask her about them.
